Job Description

The GMP Cleaner Lead is responsible for maintaining a clean working environment that meets the standards of (GMP) Good Manufacturing Practices. This position will coordinate and perform all required daily, weekly, and monthly cleanings in the manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for ensuring the other GMP Cleaners at the site are performing all their daily tasks as well.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Organizing storage areas, routine inventory of consumable items and re-stocking of supplies.
  • Completing GMP documentation including records and logbooks.
  • Ensure the other GMP Cleaners are completing their required documentation.
  • Compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental responsibilities for the position.
  • Thorough area cleaning is required in all production areas on a daily basis.
  • The other functions that are performed during area and room cleaning on production floor.
    • Maintains all cleaning of walls, tables, floors, counter tops, etc.
  • Follow relevant SOP's and Scopes of Work defined by the location leadership to ensure 100% compliance.
  • Ensure other GMP Cleaners are training and following SOPs.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS

  • High school education or GED required.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical, or food manufacturing environment (regulated by GMP standards and requirements) or relevant cleaning experience required.
  • GMP experience preferred.
  • Good documentation skills.
  • High attention to detail is required.
  • Self-motivated individuals are preferred.
  • Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
  • Must be able to work effectively under pressure to meet competing workplace demands.
  • Must have basic interpersonal skills; ability to work and communicate with co-workers and customers.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration skills required.
  • Strong communication skills required. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Required to obey all warning and safety signs and read labels on cleaning products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMEENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time. Must be able to mop large areas.
  • Must be able to reach above shoulder level, bend/stoop, push/pull, and handle/grip frequently.
  • Must be able to work scheduled 40 hours with the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Must be comfortable in working in varying temperatures.
  • Must be able to don proper PPE to include Tyvek gown.
  • Frequent lifting and carrying of 5 to 50 lbs.
  • Regular reaching, bending, stooping, and twisting.
  • Repetitive motion and substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
