We are seeking an IT Platform Engineer to join Zions Bancorporation. TheIT Platform Engineer plays a key role in analyzing applications databases, providing data and data sets, and scaling automated services to our engineering environments. This position will be a key technical contributor in the implementation, adoption, management, extension, automation, training, designs, integrations, and overall success of an investment in technology and automation in our engineering ecosystem. AnIT Platform Engineer should have an established expertise in database architecture and schema, test data automation engineering, data obfuscation engineering, and providing data sources and data sets into application environments and processes. As well, automation, scripting skills, and an understanding of database technologies along with ability to work well with users and consumers of your platform services will make you the most successful in this role.

The IT Platform Engineer will:

• Contribute expertise and engineering skills to ensure adoption and migration to Delphix as a TDaaS (Test Data as a Service) across all required enterprise databases.
• Contribute in process flow design for adoption, implementation, and consumer support of TDaaS
• Contribute in designing and testing individual solutions and adoptions per scenario, including step solutions or all-at-once for complex enterprise with many inter-related/inter-dependent data sources.
• Contribute to automated process creation and management designs including integrations with other systems, data catalogs, data testing, tracking, notification and logging tools.
• Ensure consistent application of enterprise data masking standards and policies to all applicable fields.
• Contribute in system and service updates, uptime, and maintenance.
• Become a subject matter expert on Delphix platform, features, configuration and solution design.
• Work effectively with consuming teams on both a personal and technical level to ensure mutual success.
• Work effectively with peer-invested teams like Data, Information Security, Engineering to ensure mutually successful goals, solutions, processes.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in engineering and providing automated database masking and/or obfuscation solutions to engineering environments. Delphix specific experience is a bonus.
• 2+ years of experience working with database and data solutions which required specific work identifying and handling/solving for data privacy fields and data masking or protection solutions.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques
• Strong experience in one or more automation scripting languages (ex: Python, Powershell) is a bonus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Need to be strong technically and be able to effectively communicate that information to stakeholders.
• 2+ years of developing database architecture and/or designs solutions
• Experience required in working with relational databases design and schema like Oracle, MSSQL, PostgreSQL.
• Understanding of database validations, constraints, syntax and data types
• Experience scripting, querying, and writing in T-SQL
• Solid organizational, time management and judgment skills
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field. A combination of education and experience may meet the requirements.
• Optional, but preferred - Experience working on Agile team, understands Agile team concepts in practice.

Location:

This position has a hybrid work from home schedule with a minimum of three days per week in the office at the new Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT.
