JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an energetic and motivated Video Production Manager with an excellent understanding of storytelling, cinematography, and post-production to support our video projects for Brand and Marketing.You will collaborate with internal and external partners in creating disruptive, and innovative media ranging from internal to external marketing and branding campaigns. Your work will reflect Vivint's brand and enhance the consumer and employee experience.

As a Manager for video, you should be comfortable creating storyboards and pitching creative ideas to creative leadership and executives. You should lead from the front when it comes to cinematography skills and editing. We assume many responsibilities here at Vivint, and we move fast, so you should be able to lead a team take a project from start to finish, and push your teammates to work efficiently. You should be comfortable taking charge of film/photo sets, as well as setting expectations and timelines and being proficient enough in Premiere and After Effects to move quickly. Candidates for the interview will be selected based on overall portfolio quality and depth. We work on a variety of media projects, and we expect a positive attitude regardless of the scope of the request. This role will have 1-2 direct reports with the potential to expand, so good management and mentorship are paramount.If you are a proactive creative with far-reaching goals and have a passion for trying all styles of mixed media, we want you on our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Storyboard, direct, shoot, edit, light, & color a wide range of video projects.
  • Lead, mentor, and help build your teammates and direct reports to reach their career goals.
  • Work independently as well as lead small teams to take a video project from start to finish.
  • Able to work extended hours and travel as necessary. Travel ranges from driving to the city or flying internationally for a week.
  • Cover events, brainstorm media, collaborate with the creative team, and find ways through media to provide value to the company.
  • Setting the bar for attitude, work ethic, and talent.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Must have excellent technical skills, and knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects.
  • Interpersonal skills and mentoring experience. We highly value the culture we have established on the creative team and we truly care about each other.
  • Experience working with advertising agency creatives to develop and execute marketing and brand video creatives.
  • Must have a firm understanding of all aspects of digital media, including production equipment, lighting techniques, all forms of DSLR and cinema cameras/lenses. We mainly work with RED cameras for Marketing and Brand projects.
  • Experience working with models, stylists, and art directors
  • Possess a solid work ethic, be self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • 5-7 years working on commercial sets

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
