The University of Minnesota and (UMIID) announce an inaugural round of recruitments in Bacteriology for faculty to sustain the teaching and research missions of the department and advance research broadly relevant to UMIID's mission to create innovative solutions to emerging infections with epidemic or pandemic potential and antimicrobial drug resistance.

We seek candidates for two positions at the Assistant tenure track or Associate Professor rank whose research is broadly relevant to UMIID's Program Antimicrobial Resistance and Drug Discovery to include bacterial physiology and genomics, human microbial ecology, bacteriophages, and bacterial-host interactions. Successful candidates will demonstrate potential to develop a prominent and innovative research program that complements the University's research strengths in host-pathogen interactions, immunity and host defense, virology, mycology, genomics, drug discovery, translational research, and clinical trials.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications: PhD, MD, or equivalent in a relevant field of study, plus applicable postdoctoral or faculty experience.
