AdvancedMD is seeking a motivated, qualified Sr. Software/Platform Engineer to join our Engineering Operations team and help us continue our phenomenal growth in the medical practice software market. This role requires a breadth of knowledge and skills catered toward internal tools, DevOps automation and CI/CD.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Expert level experience in all aspects of Azure DevOps Services including API
  • Proven experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ArgoCD)
  • Strong experience with automated builds using Azure DevOps, MSBuild, and YAML
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages: Python, C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, and SQL
  • Experience in source code management of enterprise applications using Git
  • Experience in Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Configuration Automation tools like Ansible/Terraform
  • Experience with release management tools (CloudBees CD preferred)
  • Experience with Consul, NuGet, Vault and Artifactory setup and administration
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Good knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience with Agile development

Education / Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Information Systems and/or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years' experience in enterprise development and deployment

What the job entails:

  • Design and setup build deployment systems to support build automation and deployment pipelines of a vast variety of components, services, and containers.
  • Collaborate with team in an open, supportive environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Setup guidelines and best practices for source control systems, builds, and artifact stores
  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain tools and pipelines using Agile development processes
  • Support and be present for release nights
  • Solve challenging problems and work effectively with others to come up with the best solution
  • Provide technical support for software development teams
  • Work closely with and assist software development teams to ensure agreement on deployment strategies
  • Ability to integrate other teams' automation with the team's release pipelines
  • Strive to learn new skills and tools to further enhance processes through automation
  • Communicate new skills and tools to other teammates use user groups and training
  • Creating technical requirement, design, and deployment documents
  • Ability to communicate with various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-orientated environment
  • Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects and meet timelines and objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions that ensure quick resolutions of events and provide recommendations and expertise to enhance system performance and availability
  • Strong desire to research and determine unique, yet appropriate ways to integrate new technologies and automation into an existing infrastructure

Recommended Certifications (at least one):

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert

The US base salary for this full-time position is starting at $98,000. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
