Job Brief

As the Electrician, you will be accountable to successfully complete electrical wiring, assembly, and trouble shooting a variety of products, chassis, and systems enabling timely delivery of high quality equipment and services to Tradestar customers.

What You'll Do

As the Electrician, you will be a ccountable to successfully complete electrical wiring, assembly, and trouble shooting a variety of products, chassis, and systems enabling timely delivery of high quality equipment and services to Tradestar customers. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Company HSE Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulations. Other duties will include:

  • Safe, accurate and efficient assembly of electronic sub/finished assemblies for installation into equipment or direct sale to customers
  • Ensure compliance with USA and international electronics/wiring codes to provide functional and acceptable products to customers in various countries
  • Travel to customer's locations for assembly/service jobs and work independently to successfully complete the job
  • Interpret engineering drawing, expectations and convert into successful finished products such as (but not limited to:)
    • EC200 Control Panels and Junction Boxes
    • EC004 Control Panels and Junction Boxes
    • Remote Receivers
    • Work and Beacon Lights
    • Chassis Tail Light Assemblies
    • Relays
    • Red Lion Displays
    • Level Probes
    • Pressure and Temperature Transducers and Switches
    • Krohne flow Meters
    • Proximity Switches
    • 12v-24v Power Converters
  • Accurately account for components used for specific jobs/work orders
  • Search for, identify, and implement improvement ideas continually
  • Monitor daily/weekly/monthly work performance through Key Process Indicator graphs
  • Participate in, and contribute to, team meetings
  • Shift to non-electrical jobs if required by supervision

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work with sheet metal (aluminum, mild steel, stainless steel) for drilling and clearing holes for connectors, die punching for differing connector types cutting and finishing openings of various sizes and shapes
  • Experience forming plastic housings for use in mounting electrical and electronic hardware including cutting and finishing openings, mounting circuit panels or circuit boards, and installing panel mount components such as switches, lights, displays, joysticks and key locks
  • Experience with adhesives and bonding agents
  • Must follow safety guidelines and be willing to offer suggestions to improve safety of working conditions
  • Willing to complete general tasks not directly related to the job description (clean-up, inventory, training, etc)
  • Willingness to cross train into non-electrical areas as the needs arise
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
