Discover's General Business MBA Internship Program offers an exciting 9-week paid internship opportunities for highly motivated individuals who are interested in exploring a host of disciplines within Discover. Participants will work on challenging initiatives in a sought-after work environment and culture. Individuals selected will be matched to projects across the enterprise, including Consumer Banking, US Cards, and Corporate Risk Management. They will be challenged to exercise and expand their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, working alongside proven leaders on projects and strategic initiatives aligned with Discover's high-priority goals.
Participants can expect:
A 9-week full-time paid internship

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 4 years full-time work experience
Current enrollment in an accredited MBA College or University program
Must have a graduation date between May - June 2024
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate ideas into clear priorities
High energy and intellectual curiosity
Strong analytical skills and a consultative approach to addressing customer needs
Strong business acumen, knowledge of financial industry, risk management, and business metrics
Proficiency in SQL, SAS
Proficiency in visual data management, i.e., Excel, Tableau
Experience with Digital Design and Customer User Experience
Experience with Agile project management methodology
Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively
Ability to apply previous experience and knowledge to new situations and problems
Operates as a team player
