Social Solutions seeks a Contracts and Compliance Director (CCD) for the anticipated Green Recovery Investment Platform (GRIP) opportunity funded by USAID. GRIP seeks to mobilize $2.5 billion in private sector resources for climate change mitigation and adaptation, clean energy transition, and nature-based solutions to increase the resilience of development outcomes across the sectors in which USAID works. This management and technical assistance (TA) platform is designed to mobilize resources, facilitate partnerships, improve enabling policies and finance ecosystems, and enhance learning and capacity to address climate change through green investments that support Covid-19 economic recovery. GRIP has prioritized the following Guiding Principles which are to be integrated throughout program activities: Inclusive development bolstered by robust commitment to Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI); Just transition to address economic resilience during this period of green growth; private sector driven to ensure long-term sustainability and self reliance; and engagement with new, non-traditional and local partners.
The CCD will provide strategic, technical, and operational leadership to maintain the contractual and ethical integrity of the GRIP program. The CCD will design and lead the strategy and implementation of contract, grants, and compliance activities. The CCD will supervise the GRIP Finance and Administrative Manager (FAM) and the Grants Manager and advise on the development, implementation, and management of related policies and procedures, ensuring all program activities are aligned to applicable state/federal, organizational, and contract requirements. The CCD will develop the GRIP's risk management strategy in coordination with the COP and Social Solutions SVP of Contracts and Operations. The CCD will develop and nurture a culture of compliance for staff, providing training and coaching on ethics and integrity to maintain the accountability of GRIP. This Washington, DC-based position reports to the COP.
